This Peugeot 205 GTI was supplied new by Cathedral Peugeot of Bristol on 5th February 1988.
Presented in scarce and desirable Futura Grey metallic.
Only 60,000 miles from new.
Husband and wife owned until February 2021.
Exterior is in fine order and presents remarkably well. Very clean. There doesn’t appear to be any rust on the paintwork. The original 14-inch Speedline ‘pepper pot’ alloys are in excellent condition and they are shod in recent new Dunlop tyres.
The inside is very impressive and reflects the low mileage. The cabin appears unmodified - it even has the original Clarion stereo which is in working order. The plastic dashboard has resisted discolouration and there are no tears to the seats, carpet or headlining. The front seats benefit from recent new bolsters.
The GTI drives really well and is very nimble. The engine is strong and pulls impeccably and the gear synchros are all in good order with no crunches on changes. It also brakes well (new front discs and pads around 2,000 miles ago). The engine and running gear have clearly been well maintained throughout the car's life.
The car is sold newly serviced and MOT’d with no advisories. It also passed its previous two MOTs without advisories. The cambelt and waterpump were replaced in February 2020 (approximately 2,000 miles ago) along with new front discs and pads.
Supplied with a comprehensive history file to include original service book, old MOT’s, sundry receipts, maintenance history and original purchase receipts. Also supplied with two sets of keys, owners handbooks and manuals.
