2000 classic rover mini cooper sportspack

This Mini Cooper Sportspack was originally supplied by Evans Halshaw Rover on 31st March 2000 and is presented in rare Anthracite grey with a white roof and body decals, over a Monaco beige and black leatherette interior. Features include Rallye-style fog and spot lamps, 13” alloy wheels, chrome interior trim, a burr walnut dash and a three-clock binnacle with magnolia-faced dials. Under the bonnet resides a 1275cc multi-point injection engine producing around 62bhp through a four-speed manual transmission.

With just 33,705 miles on the clock, this Mini has been cherished by its latest owner since 2003, when it only had circa 300 miles. They loved this car, ensuring that it was driven sensibly and dry stored when not in use. Over the last fourteen years, it has seen less than 800 miles, with recurring periods spent unused in storage while the owner worked abroad. Though it deeply saddened them to part with the Mini, they determined that the time had finally come due to lack of use and upcoming loss of storage. Notably, it has never failed an MOT and its MOT history shows no corrosion issues relating to the sills, subframes or undercarriage.

The paintwork has a lovely lustre with even finish and all body panels appear original. The glass and chromework are in excellent order, while the rubbers have retained their rich black colour. All panels appear flush and straight, including correct gaps in between the scuttle panel and tops of wings. The original factory spot welds are present on the inner wings and the factory ‘body’ number is present on the slam panel. The vehicle chassis number is correctly stamped into the scuttle panel, and it is also etched into the front and rear screens.

Inside, the cabin is in fantastic shape, reflecting the low mileage. There are no tears in the seats, carpet or headlining - in fact, the rear seats appear virtually untouched! Elsewhere, the boot and engine bay are in commendable condition, and the undercarriage benefits from waxoyl protection.

Supplied with the Mini are two sets of keys and a history file which includes the original book pack and stamped service book.
