2001 classic rover mini cooper sport 500

The Cooper Sport 500 was the final edition of the classic Mini, released in a strictly limited production run of 500 units. They were only available in four exterior colours; British Racing Green, Tahiti Blue, Solar Red and Anthracite, with a contrasting Platinum Silver roof and bonnet stripes. Each car was appropriately built to a high specification, including a bank of four fog and spot lamps, 13” Sportspack alloy wheels and arches, a high-level brake light, leather seats in black and nickel silver, alloy door trim and an engine-turned dash with chrome bezel gauges. Every Mini Cooper Sport 500 rolled off the production line with a 'Last 500' certificate signed by John Cooper, and a unique plaque within the glove box, reading “This Mini is one of the last 500 built to the original Sir Alec Issigonis design”.

This Mini Cooper Sport 500 was originally supplied by Dutton Forshaw Rover on 31st March 2001 and is presented in desirable Tahiti Blue with a Platinum Silver roof and bonnet stripes. As with all Mk7 Minis, under the bonnet resides a 1275cc mulit-point injection engine producing around 62bhp through a four-speed manual transmission.

This example, number 17, has covered approximately 62,000 miles from new and has been family-owned for the past fourteen years. The Mini is sold recently serviced and MOT'd and is supplied with a comprehensive history file to warrant the mileage including a stamped service book.

Phil is a really genuine, honest, respectful and polite man to deal with. He was very flexible and made our transaction very smooth, even completing all the paperwork and kept me fully informed throughout. I would not hesitate to use the company again. Thank you Phil.

Gemma Page

From start to finish Phil was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Knowledgeable, professional and kind. I absolutely adore my new (but old!) Mini Cooper. She's a beauty! Would definitely recommend and if I'm in the market for a classic again, Phil Mires Classic Cars would be my first port of call.
