1995 classic rover mini cooper s by john cooper garages
Supplied new by John Cooper Garages, this 1995 Mini Cooper Si is presented in iconic British Racing Green with a white roof and body decals, over a luxurious black leather-trimmed interior. Under the bonnet resides a 1275cc engine with John Cooper Si conversion producing around 85bhp through a four-speed manual transmission. This special Mini was built to an appropriately high specification which includes red ‘Cooper’ badges, body-coloured wheel arches, stainless steel door step covers with ‘John Cooper’ script, a burr walnut dashboard and matching door cappings, subsidiary oil temperature and battery voltage gauges, alloy door furniture and a Moto Lita leather-bound steering wheel with engraved ‘John Cooper’ signature. Being a genuine John Cooper Garages car, this Mini is rare and highly collectable.
This Cooper Si boasts 16,583 warranted miles and three owners from new. The latest owner purchased the Mini from a family friend in 2007 and has known of the car pretty much its entire life. The annual mileage increments are minimal and it is clear that the car has been meticulously maintained. By repute, the Mini has been garage stored since day one and has never been driven in the rain. With the exception of some slight play in the suspension arm ball joints in 2018 (advisories), the Mini possesses a perfect MOT history record.
The Mini is in exceptional condition throughout. The paintwork is in fine order and the body panels appear flush and straight. The original factory ‘body’ number is present on the slam panel as well as the factory spot welds on the inner wings. The vehicle chassis number is correctly stamped into the scuttle panel and the glass and trim are in excellent condition. The chrome is also in fine order and the rubbers have retained their rich colour. All four Minilite alloy wheels are shod in recent new tyres. The cabin is in immaculate condition. Years of indoor storage have paid dividends in preserving the burr walnut dashboard as it has resisted the fading, cracking and delamination that they so typically succumb to. There are no tears to the seats, headlining or carpet and the original radio cassette is present. Attached to the crossmember resides the John Cooper Garages plaque engraved with car number 26, whilst the original John Cooper Garages dealer stickers remain in situ on the rear screen. As expected, the 85bhp-converted engine is strong and pulls impeccably and the gear synchros are all in good order with no crunches upon changes.
The Mini is sold newly serviced and MOT’d until 15th May 2025 and is supplied with two sets of keys and a history file dating back to the point of first registration.
