This Rover Mini was originally supplied by Meredith & Kirkham Rover on 28th September 1999 is presented in iconic British Racing Green, over a contrasting stone beige 'Balmoral' interior trim. Under the bonnet resides a 1275cc multi-point injection engine producing around 62bhp through a four-speed manual transmission. Specification highlights include 12” pepper-pot style alloy wheels, a tweed and leatherette interior with colour-keyed green carpet, a leather gear knob and steering wheel, a burr walnut dash and a three-clock binnacle with magnolia faced dials.
This Mini boasts 12,448 warranted miles and has been cherished by the same family from new. It is a highly original and unmolested example and was specified with Mini-branded mudflaps and colour-keyed mats from new (confirmed by the original bill of sale), whilst benefitting from a couple of sensible upgrades comprising twin spot lamps and a Kenwood radio/CD head unit. The Mini has clearly been very well cared for and has reputably been garage stored since day one. The annual mileage increments are nominal and the car possesses an impressive MOT history record showing no corrosion issues, also passing its past eight MOTs first-time and without any advisories.
The Mini is in wonderful condition throughout. The bodywork is in excellent order and the pearlescent paint has a deep lustre. The glass, chromework and trim are also in excellent condition, and the rubbers have retained their rich black colour. The original factory spot welds are present on the inner wings and the factory ‘body’ number is present on the slam panel. The vehicle chassis number is correctly stamped into the scuttle panel, and it is also etched into the front and rear screens. The original supplying dealer number plates remain in situ. The undercarriage is in impressive condition having been rust protected throughout the years, whilst the correct vented sills are present both sides. As expected, the cabin is in fine order and there are no tears to the seats, carpet or headlining - in fact, the rear seats appear virtually unused! Years of indoor storage have paid dividends in preserving the burr walnut dashboard as it has resisted the fading, cracking and delamination that they so typically succumb to. The 1275cc multi-point injection engine is strong and pulls impeccably and gear synchros are all in good order without any crunches upon changes.
The Mini will be sold newly serviced and MOT’d and is supplied with two sets of keys and a comprehensive history file dating back to the point of first registration including the original bill of sale and stamped service book.
