2001 classic rover mini cooper sport 500

The Cooper Sport 500 was the final edition of the classic Mini, released in a strictly limited production run of 500 units. They were only available in four exterior colours; British Racing Green, Tahiti Blue, Solar Red and Anthracite, with a contrasting Platinum Silver roof and bonnet stripes. Each car was appropriately built to a high specification, including a bank of four fog and spot lamps, 13” Sportspack alloy wheels and arches, a high-level brake light, leather seats in black and nickel silver, alloy door trim and an engine-turned dash with chrome bezel gauges. Every Mini Cooper Sport 500 rolled off the production line with a 'Last 500' certificate signed by John Cooper, and a unique plaque within the glove box, reading “This Mini is one of the last 500 built to the original Sir Alec Issigonis design”.

A fantastic, low mileage Rover Mini Cooper Sport 500 in a rare and attractive colour scheme.

Number 389 of 500.

First registered on 27th April 2001.

Presented in Anthracite (the rarest colour of the Cooper Sport 500s) with contrasting Platinum Silver roof and bonnet stripes, over a black and silver leather-trimmed interior.

The Mini is fitted with the desirable full length electric sunroof.

Odometer currently shows 39,572 miles, which is warranted through MOT and service history.

Same owner for last 9 years. Driven a mere 2,000 miles in last 12 years.

The exterior is in fine order. The Anthracite paintwork is free of any rust. The original screens front and rear correctly display the vehicle chassis number. The rubbers have retained their rich black colour. All four wheels are in excellent condition and they are shod in new Yokohama A539 tyres.

Cabin is in fine order and reflects the low mileage. No tears to the carpet, headlining or sunroof.

The Mini is a joy to drive and the engine is strong and pulls impeccably and the gear synchros are all in good order with no crunches on changes.

Newly serviced and MOT’d with no advisories.

The Mini has just had four new tyres fitted (recommended Yokohama A539s).

Supplied with 2 sets of keys, a certificate confirming its last 500 status and a history file dating back to the point of first registration (including original stamped service book).

From start to finish Phil was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Knowledgeable, professional and kind. I absolutely adore my new (but old!) Mini Cooper. She's a beauty! Would definitely recommend and if I'm in the market for a classic again, Phil Mires Classic Cars would be my first port of call.
