We are pleased to present this attractive Rover Mini Cooper, originally supplied by F W Mays of Dorking on 14th August 1998. This striking Mini is finished in rare Surf Blue with a contrasting white roof and body decals, over a Monaco beige and black leatherette interior. Under the bonnet resides a 1275cc multipoint injection engine producing around 62bhp through a four-speed manual transmission. Specification highlights include fog lights, 12-inch Minilite alloy wheels, a leather-bound steering wheel and a burr walnut dash with magnolia faced dials.

This example has covered just 36,121 miles from new and has been in the care of the same family for the past eight years, with only one previous owner. While the Mini has led a modest life, it has participated in several London-to-Brighton runs and shows evidence of being very well maintained. Notably, it boasts a near-perfect MOT history, with the only advisories recorded in 2020 for slight tyre wear.

The Surf Blue paintwork is in fantastic condition and the body panels appear flush and straight, maintaining the appropriate gaps between the scuttle panel and the tops of the wings. The original factory ‘body’ number can be found on the bonnet slam panel, and the vehicle chassis number is correctly stamped into the scuttle and etched into the front and rear screens. The chromework and trim are in excellent condition, and all four Minilite alloy wheels appear ‘as new’ and are fitted with Yokohama A539 tyres.

Inside, the cabin reflects the low mileage and is impressively clean. There are no tears in the carpet or headlining, and the rear seats appear virtually unused. The original supplying dealer sticker is still present on the rear screen. The undercarriage has been waxoyl protected, and both the boot and engine bay are in commendable condition. The 1275cc multi-point injection engine performs strongly, with smooth and precise gear changes.

The Mini is sold newly serviced and MOT’d until 27th February 2026 and is ready for immediate enjoyment. Supplied with the car are two sets of keys and a history file which includes the original bill of sale, stamped service book and owner’s book pack.

From start to finish Phil was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Knowledgeable, professional and kind. I absolutely adore my new (but old!) Mini Cooper. She's a beauty! Would definitely recommend and if I'm in the market for a classic again, Phil Mires Classic Cars would be my first port of call.
