2000 classic rover mini cooper sport

We are pleased to present this attractive Mini Cooper Sport, originally supplied by Startin Rover, Redditch, on 22nd September 2000. The Mini is finished in striking Solar Red with a Platinum Silver roof and body decals, over a contrasting black and Nickel silver leather-trimmed interior. Under the bonnet resides a 1275cc multipoint injection engine producing around 62bhp through a four-speed manual transmission. Specification highlights include 13” Sportspack alloy wheels, a bank of four Rallye-style fog and spot lamps, a leather-bound steering wheel, alloy interior trim, chrome bezel gauges, and an engine-turned finish dash with magnolia-faced dials.

This particular example has recorded just 28,097 miles and has been owned by the same family since its initial purchase. The Mini has lived a modest life, spending significant periods in storage, and is now ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.

The paintwork presents very well, with panels appearing flush and straight, maintaining the appropriate gaps in between the scuttle panel and the tops of wings. The correct vented sills are present both sides, whilst the original factory body number is present on the bonnet slam panel and the vehicle chassis number is correctly etched into the front and rear screens. The glass and trim are well preserved, with the rubbers retaining their deep black hue. All four Sportspack alloy wheels are in very good condition. The cabin also presents very well, exhibiting only minor creasing on the driver's seat bolster and some charming wear on the leather steering wheel. The dashboard and binnacle cover remain in excellent condition, free of cracks or sun damage. There are no tears present to the seats, carpet, or headlining; in fact, the rear seats appear virtually unused. The undercarriage has been waxoyl protected, and both the boot and engine bay are in commendable condition. The 1275cc multi-point injection engine performs strongly, with smooth and precise gear changes free of any crunches.

This Mini Cooper Sport comes newly serviced and is MOT’d until 15th August 2025 with no advisories. Included with the vehicle are two sets of keys and a comprehensive history file dating back to the original registration including the original stamped service book.
