1995 classic rover mini cooper 1.3i spi (coming soon)
Originally supplied by Mann Egerton of St Albans on 16th November 1995, this Rover Mini Cooper is presented in the rare Charcoal grey with a contrasting white roof and bonnet stripes, over a beige and black ‘Monaco’ interior. Under the bonnet resides a 1275cc A-series injection engine producing around 62bhp through a four-speed manual transmission. Features include twin spot lamps, 12” Minilite alloy wheels, an upgraded Blaupunkt DAB stereo, a leather-bound ‘Cooper’ steering wheel and a burr walnut dash with magnolia-faced dials.
This example has covered just 28,639 miles from new and has remained within the same family ownership since 1997, having spent its first two years with a close family friend before they emigrated. A replacement engine and gearbox were fitted in 1996, when the car was less than a year old, and it has resided in Hertfordshire throughout its life. The Mini has experienced minimal usage - especially since 2016 where it has only accrued 1,000 miles - yet has been MOT’d almost every year and stored indoors under cover when not in use.
Years of careful storage have paid dividends in preserving this Mini as it presents really well. The paintwork has a lovely lustre with even finish and all body panels appear original, flush and straight. The chromework and trim are in excellent order, while the rubbers have retained their rich black hue. The original factory spot welds are present on the inner wings and the factory ‘body’ number is present on the slam panel. Additionally, there are correct gaps in between the scuttle and tops of the wings, while vented sills are present both sides. The vehicle chassis number is correctly stamped into the scuttle and is etched into the front and rear screens. All four Minilite alloy wheels are shod with recommended Yokohama A539 tyres, and the original supplying dealer number plates remain in situ.
Inside, the cabin presents very well, with clean upholstery and trim. There is only minimal wear to the burr walnut dash and leather steering wheel. Elsewhere, the boot and engine bay are both tidy and well presented. On the road, the 1275cc injection engine pulls strongly and responsively, while the gearbox engages smoothly with no unwanted crunches upon changes.
The Mini is sold newly serviced and MOT'd until October 2026 and is supplied with two sets of keys and a history file which includes the original stamped service book.
This Mini is currently being prepared for sale. Further information and images of actual car to follow.
