1998 classic rover mini cooper sportspack

This Mini Cooper Sportspack was originally supplied by Caffyns Rover, Brighton on 9th April 1998 and is presented in rare Nightfire Red with a white roof and body decals, over a leather-trimmed interior. Under the bonnet resides a 1275cc multi-point injection engine producing around 62bhp through a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a bank of four Rallye-style fog and spot lamps, 13” Sportspack alloy wheels, a red colour-keyed carpet, alloy door furniture, a burr walnut dash and a three-clock binnacle with magnolia-faced dials.

This example has covered 56,327 miles from new and has been enthusiast-owned for the past eight years. Up until circa 50,000 miles, the Mini was mainly serviced by John Cooper Garages in Worthing - the garage sticker remains in situ on the rear screen. The car has been driven very sparingly in recent years, covering a mere 2,000 miles since 2011 with recurring periods unused in storage. 

The Mini is in superb condition and is ready to be enjoyed. It has clearly been very well maintained. The paintwork has a deep lustre with even finish and all panels appear flush and straight. The original factory ‘body’ number is present on the slam panel as well as the factory spot welds on the inner wings. The correct vented sills are present both sides. All four alloy wheels appear 'as new' and are shod in new tyres. The cabin is in fine order and there are no tears to the seats, carpet or headlining. The 1275cc multi-point injection engine is strong and pulls impeccably and the gear synchros are all in good order with no crunches upon changes. 

The Mini is sold newly serviced and MOT’d (no advisories) and is supplied with a comprehensive history file dating back to the point of first registration including a fully stamped service book.
