First registered in April 1998, just one month after the model’s launch, this Mini Paul Smith is one of the most distinctive and collectable late-production Minis. Created in collaboration with renowned British designer Sir Paul Smith, the special edition was limited to just 300 examples for the UK market and is instantly recognisable in its exclusive Paul Smith Blue paintwork.

Specification highlights include charcoal grey 12-inch Minilite alloy wheels, twin driving lamps, a 24-carat gold-finished bonnet badge, bespoke Paul Smith branding and the unique citrus green detailing to the fuel tank, glovebox interior and engine rocker cover. Inside, the cabin is trimmed in black leather, extending across the seats, door pockets, upper dash rail, steering wheel and gear knob.

Currently displaying an exceptionally low 8,539 miles, this two-owner Mini has led a modest life. The most recent custodian purchased the car in December 2000 from Mill Garages Rover, West Boldon, at 4,000 miles as a gift for their wife. In recent years, the car has covered very few miles, typically leaving storage only for annual MOT testing and servicing at a local garage situated a very short distance away from where it was kept.

Body-coloured vented sills are present on both sides, there are correct gaps between the scuttle panel and wing tops, and the original factory ‘body’ number remains clearly visible on the bonnet slam panel. The chassis number is correctly stamped into the scuttle and etched into both the front and rear screens. The original denim tool bag remains present in the boot, along with the original Mill Garages number plates and rear window sticker. Also present are Mini-branded rubber floor mats and a radio/CD player, which was specified when the car was purchased in December 2000.
