1999 classic rover mini cooper 1.3i mpi

This Mini Cooper was originally supplied by Windsors Rover in May 1999 and is presented in rare Anthracite with a white roof and body decals, over a ‘Monaco’ cream and black leatherette interior. Under the bonnet resides a 1275cc multi-point injection engine producing around 62bhp through a four-speed manual transmission. Specification highlights include fog lights, 12-inch Minilite alloy wheels, a leather-bound steering wheel and a burr walnut dash with magnolia faced dials.

The Mini has covered just 24,873 miles from new and has clearly been very well cared for. The car was under the proprietorship of the original owner for over fourteen years, before being taken off the road and stored amongst a private car collection. It returned the road this year, passing its MOT on 15th May first-time and without any advisories.

This Mini Cooper is a wonderful, unmolested example. The paintwork is in excellent order with even finish throughout and the body panels appear flush and straight. The original factory ‘body’ number is present on the slam panel as well as the factory spot welds on the inner wings. The correct vented sills are present both sides. The vehicle chassis number is correctly stamped into the scuttle panel and is also etched into the front and rear screens. The glass, chrome and trim are in excellent condition. All four Minilite alloy wheels are newly refurbished and are shod new tyres. The cabin is in excellent, clean condition, as conducive with the low mileage. Years of indoor storage have paid dividends in preserving the burr walnut dashboard as it has resisted the fading, cracking and delamination that they so typically succumb to. There are no tears to the seats, headlining or carpet and the original ‘Mini’ branded radio cassette and mats are present. Also, the original supplying dealer sticker remains in situ on the rear screen. The boot and engine bay are in good condition, as is the undercarriage which has been waxoyl protected. The 1275cc multi-point injection engine is strong and pulls impeccably and the gear synchros are all in good order with no crunches upon changes.

The Mini is sold newly serviced and MOT’d until 14th May 2025 and is supplied with two sets of keys and a comprehensive history file which includes the original bill of sale.
