2000 classic rover mini cooper final edition (coming soon)
Supplied new by Dutton Forshaw, Maidstone, this final-edition Rover Mini Cooper is finished in striking Solar Red with a contrasting white roof and bonnet stripes, over a black ‘Ravioli’ interior. Power comes from a lively 1275cc multi-point injection A-series engine, producing around 62bhp through a four-speed manual transmission. Features including twin spot lamps, 12-inch Minilite alloy wheels, Union Jack roof decal stickers, push-out rear windows, a leather-bound steering wheel and gear knob, and a burr walnut dashboard with magnolia-faced dials.
Displaying just 24,179 miles from new, this Mini has had only two owners, the latest having cherished it for the past twenty-three years. Throughout their ownership, it was driven carefully and exclusively in fair weather, with a clear emphasis placed on preservation rather than regular use. The Mini became a familiar participant on London to Brighton runs, with the accompanying event stickers serving as reminders of those enjoyable occasions. When not in use, it was carefully stored in a dry garage and kept on a battery conditioner. Letting the car go was by no means an easy decision, but with fewer than 1,000 miles covered during the past nine years, the owner ultimately decided it was time for someone else to enjoy it. The Mini also benefits from an impressive MOT history, with no recorded corrosion concerns and advisory-free passes at each of its last two MOT tests.
The condition of the car is a testament to its careful ownership and low mileage. The bodywork appears straight and well aligned, with correct gaps between the scuttle and tops of the wings. Body-colour vented sills are present on both sides, the original factory ‘body’ number is present on the bonnet slam panel, and the inner wings display uniform factory spot welds. The chassis number is correctly stamped into the scuttle panel and etched into both the front and rear screens. The glass, chromework and trim all present in excellent order, while the window rubbers have retained their rich black colour. The original supplying dealer number plate holders also remain in situ.
Inside, the cabin is exceptionally clean and well preserved, reflecting the car's low mileage and careful ownership. The seats, carpets and headlining remain in excellent condition, free from visible tears or damage, and the original Mini-branded radio/cassette is still fitted. The leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob display only a light, honest patina, while the rear seats appear barely used.
Elsewhere, the boot and engine bay are in commendable condition and the undercarriage has been waxoyl protected for longevity. On the road, the 1275cc multi-point injection engine feels lively and responsive, pulling cleanly through all four gears with smooth, precise changes and driving as a low-mileage Mini should.
Freshly serviced and MOT’d until 18th May 2027, the Mini is supplied with two sets of keys and a comprehensive history file including a complete MOT history record and the original owner's handbooks and service portfolio.
