Our Mini Cooper reunited with its first owner after 23 years!
1998 Rover Mini Cooper Sportspack in rare Nightfire Red with Cumulus leather interior
After patiently waiting to find the perfect Mini Cooper with his desired specification and colour combination, Keith finally purchased his dream Mini from Caffyns Rover in Brighton on 15th June 1998. He took great pride in his Mini, keeping it in impeccable condition and regularly participating in events like the Riviera Run, London to Brighton, Mini in the Park, and the Silverstone 40th anniversary. After three wonderful years and 30,000 miles of enjoyment, Keith reluctantly decided to sell the Mini to save for a deposit on his first home. He tried to track down the car over the years, but it ended up in Wales on a private registration, making his efforts fruitless. However, after twenty-three years of separation, we were able to reunite them both!
Since being sold by Keith in 2001, the Mini has only clocked up a further 26,000 miles and has spent recurring periods unused in storage. The car has been enthusiast-owned for the past two decades, and, up until circa 50,000 miles, it was predominantly serviced by John Cooper Garages in Worthing. Throughout the 2000's, the Mini was prolific on the show scene and many programmes and souvenir stickers have been retained. The condition of this Mini is amazing and it has clearly been meticulously preserved and maintained throughout its life.
